other non .org maxima owners of the same generation or maxima owners in general??

im pretty much stock on the outside and im just wondering what are some of the comments u people that are heavily modded get from other maxima owners. and by heavily modded i mean like, rims, major drop, bodykit and blah blah, things that would instantly get other maxima owners attention and cosmetics is of course the 1st thing that catches the eye.

 

All I have is drop and system. Everyone complains that I spent to much money on the car.

 

Heard this one from a few 4th gen owners: "Love what you did!"

No matter how played out the Stillen kit/Evo5 wheel combo is, I catch people stealing some glances even though I don't want it, which is why I got them in the first place I've only seen one other car with the same wheels, a sore-eyed Camry owner, running either the 15's or 16's

 

People tell me im stupid and talk about my waste of money behind my back.

Im told constantly to put the money in a chevelle camaro ect. And people when im around say aloud to other people so i can hear it, and when there stnding by there winter beaters " yep this old rusted out 89 corolla im going to give it a paint job and engine work spend thousands then it will be a classic"

Another example at my work guy with a 96 firebird runs a 14.4 @ 98 with intake and exaust they find out i ran a 13.8 @ 100 and they still say his cars faster because its a firebird.
And also the same guy said "its almost time to store the firebird for the winter" Tom at work says yeah keep it in good shape. Then i ask tom "hey wheres a good place to store my maxima" he must have laughed for 5 minutes .

Actually a another max hater story. Ok i pull into a mobil to get gas ,get out of my car keep in mind the track number painted on the window is still there. A guy with a new tiberon gets out of the car he has big rims and those fake bulletholes going the lenght of his car he says to me "you dont drag race that do you?' I say yeah. he says "Why?" I go its pretty fast.he says again "why?" Then i say its faster than most cars on the road and many sports cars . And he says again "but why?" Then i get in my cay after thinking about commiting a felony.

well thats how i get treated owning my max since the first day i got it had it for almost 6 years.

 

i get keeping asked if i am running a diagnostic system and if it's fast. I am bored, so i might just put it on so i can say "yes, but i won't show you".

 

i totally feel for krismax... although my max can't even fathom running 13's... a lot of people feel like i've wasted a lot of money into the max. i just do it for fun...

 

Mine is Stock but i have gotten a few compliments and glances from people.
Usually Older people (30 and up) who never realized how nice the Maxima really is.

 

Tons of comments on the wheels, and a handful of are those aftermarket bumpers or did you put a kit on this? I love the suddleness (sp(madeupword)) of the kit.

 

"Did you buy new calipers already?" painted red.
"I Love those yellow fogs with the HIDs."
I'm still stock otherwise.

 

No one really cares about modded maximas around me. There are so many stock ones we get lost in the shuffle. Actually, the only comments I can remember getting about the car are when it was stock. I had a few older people come up to me and tell me they used to "drive a car just like that -- one of the best cars I've ever owned".

 

lol im saving up for the same setup as u too. 19x8.5 evo5 and stillen aerokit and i dont give a $hit how played out it is on .org nobody else has those rims in my area, NOBODY and even if they did, its still gonna turn heads. this whole played out thing is buncha BS IMO. who cares if its played out on .org ???

oh yea and maximas in my area are soooo bone stock (Except dc's) that im truely gonna be king of all maxima's

p.s apbrian211, killer2002se, mrnock, dbg6, maximatong and 1 more dude are the only moded maxima's within 10 miles of my house

 

In my area i think im the only modded max, except for sum with DC's and maybe a pep boy's muffler.

As for coments, before I got my hamburger emblem for my grill, I had sum1 come up and asked me what kinda Honda is that.

And the usual "whoa that's low, how do u drive like that?" And "are those Dubs?"

I got 1 from my uncle when he came to visit about my cf hood: "You're actually gonna leave your hood unpainted?"

 

No one even notices my car.

 

"wow I never knew that year model came with projectors...."

"uhh... hehe... they dont..."

 

i get alot of comments from other max owners and people who have dealt with maximas saying how clean my car is for a '95 and how nice everything looks. its usually from older people but i get a few from the younger crowd around my age. i really don't have anything externally done except for redded ambers in the rear and AE headlights in the front with clear corners.

 

most people say:

"Nice HID's! are those 8000k?"
"Dayam, your car is slammed!"

Whenever i tell them my car is slow, they say:

"Your car is not slow, your 4 door beat his rsx-s"
haha, i love maxima's!

 

No one notices my car either. I did have one old man ask me if my exhaust was loud enough. I told him if its too loud then you're too old. just being an ***. I did have one guy in his early 30's tell me nice car as he was getting in his 97-99 4th gen.

 

Most suprising comment I got was from an old, white haired guy in his parked car tell me "your exhaust sounds great, deep and rumbly" followed with a thumbsup and smile while i was backing out of the space next to him. Really didn't expect an older guy to care about a car like mine.
