3 hrs to replace 02 sensor. Stupid Dealership.
I had my rear heated 02 sensor replaced at the dealership in June while my car was in for some other work. Then near the end of the summer I got a CE light for the same sensor. Went to the dealer, they told me it was another sensor that was bad, so I left and didn't have them do anything, didn't replace any sensors. The light went off on its own. Just a week ago it came back on, Rear heated 02. I went back to the dealer and they said yep it was a bad sensor we put in. It took them 3 hours to check the computer and replace the sensor, they didn't do anything else on the car. Next time something is wrong I won't bring my car back there. I don't get how they could spend that time on my car. It shouldn't take that long to replace one stupid sensor.

I really hope you didn't pay for 3 hours of labor. Isn't that like 60-80 dollars an hour plus parts? Only time my car has ever been to the dealer was for them to replace the seat belts in my old max becuase seat belts have an infinite warranty.
Other than that please find a local and reasonable shop that wont rip you off or buy a Haynes/Chilton and some hand tools and get some confidence.
It isn't a matter that it took them 3 hours to do the job. In their book that job might be listed as a 3 hour job so if they do it in 20 minutes guess what you still have to pay for 3 hours of work. Like take the knock sensor for example we all know that can be done fairly easily but in Nissans book it is like a 4 hour job becuase they have to take the intake off as per the holy screw you over book. I can gurantee they don't take off the IM and just do it like us and have it done in half an hour tops.

Its no more than a 30 minute job as long as your stock 02 isnt heated/melted onto the Y pipe.

Yes, they worked on my car for the entire 3 hours. I saw the time card. I orginally paid $150 for the sensor and labor, they didn't charge me anything this time because they put in a defective 02 sensor.
After 1.5hrs, I went and checked to see if it was done yet, and the guy started giving me a bunch of crap about how they have to test all these different things to see what is wrong, blaa, blaa.
