no brain child...i banned you for throwing a hissy fit because we told you that the radiator cap is not going to make any power for you. in your limited vocabulary you were not able to come back with anything that would remotely back your statement up so you got upset and started cursing like a cry baby and broke out your "engineering degree" crap.
do me a favor...dyno your car w/ a stock radiator cap...then dyno your car w/ the high pressure cap...let me know if there's a change in the chart. until i see that you're FOS.

ok,the whole reason why he is thinking about a new car, is.... he just met this very materialist girl and he LIKESSSS HERRRRR, now becuae he know that everyone on the .org has a maxima he thinks everyone in the planet drives a maxima and the to have a maxima looks lamme. but you are wrong, maximas are very unique cars, very powerfull and reliable.
(if your maxima had very high milage or was a really ond maxima, then yes do look for a new car. but right now, you just go a little sick of doing mods to your car, and thinks that just becasue you leanerd alot about your maxima that it doesn't look as apealing.
unfortunaly that is the price you pay for knowlege. you learn all the small details and problems with your car. and start losing interst in the car, and in the end all you want to do, is sell your car and get a different one that you have no idea about it, and will try to never touch the engine again. (you are trying to be normal again, not a backyard mechanic anymore)

Because if it is, BUY THE S4 TODAY!! Before that materialistic money hungry ho'bag makes you spend all your money.

yeah yeah yeah you so mature and all knowing. i see people in threads "swearing" all the time i never see them get banned. your telling me to prove that the radiator cap makes power. show me where i said it makes power? i am sure it improves performance but i never said it makes anymore power there is a diffrence.i have considered an M3 two reasons not getting one like i said before the only coupe i would consider getting a 350Z and i am not getting a 4 door M3 also i check the insurance and it would be close to $3500 for a 97 M3 where as a S4 would only be $2900.That $600 diffrence is not worth no diffrence in performance I am step 14 and mass drivers in here will know what that means. Your right you don't need to prove anything to me about your car and for that fact i could care less about your car and what mods you have you don't have to impress me and i am not trying to impress you.you know what mods i have its listed in my sig. so you keep thinking your better than me and that i am an idiot but at the end of the day you like what you like and i like what i like and an S4 is a better choice living in New England than a M3. FYI i have owned RWD cars before and i could care less what anyone says unless you have 2 cars its not a good idea to drive a RWD in the snow. MY 240SX was terrible.

so where does it improve performance with the cap? is your coolant boiling over contantly that warrants your coolant to be at a higher pressure to prevent boiling?

looks like you already have your heart set on the S4...then why bother posting? slap the FS sign on the 4th gen and start looking for the S4s now.

you didn't understand what I said. Me mentioning the price of a new S4 back then...which was around 50k....was showing you that most original owners of these cars,which go for 18-22k right now.....were probably older people, and did not abuse their cars as much. that's my guess of course. I personally have more doubts about buying cars that are readily available, such as the maxima. Because it is affordable and it commonly falls into the hands of the lower income bracket, which included teenagers. I remember being 17-18, and I know in my case, my driving behavior as toned down quite a bit. And when I do beat on my car...I at least pay attention to what my car can, and can,t do. Not just blindly stomp on the gas and throw it around like I used to do when I was younger. Anyways, it's just a theory, but i don't think I'm that far off from the truth.

i am actually have the car dynoed again on saturday. i ordered a UR underdrive pulley 2 weeks ago and going to have it installed friday night.
after reading what has been said in this thread i guess i will keep my max for a while. I was thinking about it while i was driving home today not a bad car, does everything it was designed to do well and does it daily. I can always get something else when/if the max starts acting up.

The question you have to ask yourself is why do you want another car. If you are bored (notice I didn't spell it board) with the Max then by all means get a new car. If you want a faster car then by all means sell the Max. If you want a more reliable car with decent power, room, appearance, decent mileage and decent insurance costs then KEEP THE MAX because you won't find one. If you want to sell the Max because you want to impress your friends or a girl keep your (notice I didn't spell it you're) Max, wait a couple years until you mature some and realize you are glad you kept the Max. Some day when I finish school and have a good job I will sell the Max and buy something else (E55

Performance and "go" are related while the radiator cap and sts make no power the help the car perform better which in turn makes the car "go" better. i tried to make that as simple as possible, if more information is needed let me know.
