the manual climate control with the automatic digital climate control. i like the way the digital ones look. is it a direct replacement or requires modification.

I believe it a PIA....

I wouldn't suggest trying it. Not sure what alls involved but I know it's not a direct replacement.

I own a '97 Maxima GXE, and i was also thinking about replacing manual climate control with an automatic one. I called Nissan dealership, and they said that auto climate control is not suitable for Maximas that came with manual climate control, just because the computer wasn't programmed for it. And i am not sure whether u can make any modifications to yer car's computer settings.
I don't think it's worth it after all.
