Yesterday I noticed what seemed to be oil leaking from the where the oil cap is. The area around it is all oily. The cap is on tight as it clicks everytime I turn it. I didn't really have time to look into it more but could it just be a dirty seal or gasket where the cap screws on?

It won't take that much time to inspect the o-ring seal around the bottom of the cap. If it is cracked, brittle or too flat, you need a new one.
