hello guys, just want to say Hi and really excited to become member this awesome max org.i am going to purchase the car soon and i need help to choose between the '02. i am not test drive the car yet hopefuly soon 'cause my license got suspended archhhhhh for breaking the law but i learn from it though for sure .yup right now i have 2001 mustang GT BULLITT #1358 series i really love this beast so far with my mod's my best time for 1/4 mile is 13.09 and 0-60 is 5.2 second. but i am going to sell it cause huhhhh just so much trouble that i got with speeding etc!!!!but i really love the car so much.V8 ,sound and the torque is really made me going to miss her and made me cry to let her go.o welll btw, i just want to know how big different that for '02 between manual and auto compare on accellaration. is there big different when push the pedal on wot or just close. any input i really apreciated .i am excited to have the maxima since my wife going to love it too cause more rommy 4 door good gas and have more room for travel and more space for my son baby seats. she really hate the bullitt!!! i don't know why???

2k2's manuals are about 1 second faster than the autos. Its not that big of a difference; if your wife drives the car will she complain about shifting?
The biggest performance difference will come if you modify the car. If you do mods. the manual will perform much better.

 

a 2K2 6 speed would be a good choice, but I'm sure you'd be happy with either one.

check and look for review people always said yes plus recommend for this car.btw, lot of awesome max here with nice body kits and rims on it.i am really excited with the car.

 

You'll be really happy with either an 02 or 03. If your wife does not like to shift get the auto. Around this area be prepared to pay around $19,000.00 for a loaded 03 with 20,000-22,000 miles on it.

just want to make sure that start on 02 max that come with 3.5 and 255 hp? is that correct.how powerful is 01 compare with the lates 02-03. sorry guys just want to make sure which i am looking for with my taste..thanks

 

The '00-01's have a 3.0 - 222 hp, 5 spd manual;
02-03's, like you said, 3.5 - 255 hp, 6 spd. manual.
