I wouldn't want some nasty dried up shaving cream residue on my car. And if you put it on the outside, it's sure to wash off eventually. That's why there's the "defrost" option on your heater.

Tried and true. Doesn't work very well.

You're suppose to wipe it off.

Keep the windows clean and keep your climate controls set to the floor and defrost vents, fresh air and fan setting 1 or 2.

Use your compressor (A/C - ON) for warm dry air in the winter time, especially if it's raining.

It will keep your windows fogless inside. Fogless - is that a real word?

AUTO climate control guys should use AUTO mode to keep your windows clean.

Yeah, Rain-x Makes some Anti-Fog stuff that works pretty good. I use it on my glasses and it does a nice Job.

I noticed that stuff leaves a lightly noticeable foggy haze to it. Personally I prefer to keep the windows uber clean, seems to be the tried and true way. Makes them defog alot quicker to in my experience.

I don't get it, you'd rather have shaving cream on your windows rather than fog?? How does that make sense?

Um if you have haze on your windshield after using it you are doing it wrong. Here this is right off of the Rain-X bottle I have this is the part you want to know:
Allow to dry until slight haze appears. Reapply Rain-X to ensure complete and uniform coverage. Remove the final haze with dry cloth or by sprinkling with water and wiping with a paper towel until crystal clear.

So you must be doing something wrong.

i heard somethign a long time ago about using a water/rubbing alcohol mixture and wipe down the window the night before, this supposedly keeps it from frosting. Dunno if its true or not, but worth a try?

Where did you find that kind of "old wives tales". that a lot of bunk about the shaving cream, which I never heard of. I tried Rain-X fogger it worked once then i got this residue on the glass that was hazy, it wasn't worth the money. Stick to good old cloth with water and keep it clean each time I have a car wash.
