My '97 SE is almost to 101k miles (it hit 100k 2 weeks ago). It still drives sweet, but I need to start thinking if I'm going to do any more mods (what with the Quaife coming out later this year) or start thinking of a replacement. I have to admit I have the jones to check out a Subaru WRX. Saw one the other day ... sweet!

You bet it does

The chip immediately smoked the tires. This was installed at Sears Point Raceway and tuned on a constant velocity dyno, so we could see the improvement on the readout in real time as it was tuned. Expensive, but very cool! As for my mileage, the car was 3 years old with 60,000 when I got it. I put on 40,000 in about 18 months.

I don't have the printout in front of me, but that was before the piggyback (I posted it way back when). My later reading was not as good, but 1) it was done on a much warmer day, 2) my car went on the dyno right after a long drive in heavy traffic the second time, as opposed to an easy drive and an hour to cool down. The CV dyno reading showed the improvements as they were dialed in on the unit, about 10-12% improvement.

Hey Jeff,

Haven't heard from you on the BBS for a while! So I guess "MadMax" is holding up pretty well huh? Anyways, just wanted to wish you a "welcome back." Time to register for the BBS and get rid of that lurker title!

Eh, don't worry. 105k on a Nissan is like 10k on a Ford.
