I JUST HAD A MECHANIC LOOK AT A 94 MAXIMA GXE THAT I'M THINKING ABOUT BUYING. THE MECHANIC SAYS THAT THE ENGINE NEEDS MOTOR MOUNTS. LEFT AND RIGHT WHAT COULD BE THE REASON FOR THIS. I WAS THINKING MAYBE SOME ONE TOOK THE MOUNTS AND SOLD THEM. I NEED SOME SUGGESTIONS

Usually "needs motor mounts", or really needs any part, when coming from a mechanic, doesnt mean that the parts are absent. It usually means that they need to be replaced. How many miles are on the car?

Worn motor mounts, on a car that doesn't have very high mileage, indicates that the car was driven hard. On this car it should be taken as a warning sign about the health of the transmission and exhaust studs.
