That sucks...

Are you using any additional washers?

How much more clearance does it look like it needs?

So I don't understand

Will they fit the stock 97 16" SE wheels? I have a set of 17" GS400 wheels and the clearance is even better than the stock wheels. I hope I don't have fitment issues. Were you able to get the spacers? There is a local shop in Huntington Beach that sells spacers of all sorts of sizes for $5 a pair.

You shouldn't have problems with yours Kevin...

Bretts Volks aren't really made for big calipers...

Kenji at GReddy has (had) these rims on his 240 (Cover story for Turbo Mag a while back) and they don't have much clearance... He had a set of 300Z calipers that he couldn't get to fit either...

Has ANYONE ELSE done the install with the SE RIMS???

Come on... It's been weeks now...

BTW... My webpage s/b up mid next week...

..

I am just using one washer to center the caliper like you did. The fit is really close, just a slight rub. A 5mm spacer would be plenty but it's just damn frustrating.

Do you have pics of your car with the GS400 wheels?

You're not waiting on me are you for 'instructions' on how to install!?!?!

I'm mostly done with written instructions but need to do my links and redo my photos to a manageable size... My big hurtle will be uploading to Earthlink and making sure 'index.htm' will be my new homepage... ANYONE DONE THIS?

I'm no expert...hehe

Not with earlink

but my isp is the same... you need ftp software or i believe you can do it in netscape, prolly ie too. best advise - create directories to keep organized.

here's a pic...if it loads

It took $100 at a machine shop and $20 for the mag lugs with washers to make a safe fit.

Looks really nice Kevin...
How much did the wheels themselves cost?

I bought them off a friend of mine for $600. Not a bad deal, considering the tires are the sweetest things I've ever driven on. They don't look like much, but the Potenza RE030 are great tires. Price is a drawback however, so I will replace them with Kumhos when the time comes.
