My dilemma: 350z muffler or Dynomax Super Turbo
Okay, the 350z/G35/FX all have the same style muffler, just different inlets. The muffler is 24x13in. So I know it will fit. If I get this one, I would get a 18x4in resonator.
Should I get that muffler or teh Dynomax Super Turbo muffler with dual outlets? If I get that one, it will be an 22x4in resonator.
I don't know which combo to get. I want it to be VERY quiet, but I want it to sound good. I have a ypipe so I know aftermarket is exhaust is gonna be louder then stock.
What should I do?

It sounds nice and quiet, though a bit louder than stock. I had it w/o resonators before, and yes, you WILL definately want those resonators on there b/c w/o them, it sounds horrible.

Kev, I don't think the 350Z muffler will work for you because of where the inlets and outlets are.
(if you want it, I'll make you a good price on it. customer removed it after just 1000 miles on the car for a Stillen exhaust and asked me to sell it for him. It's been sitting in my back yard for about 6 months now.)

Couldn't I just cut the outs and ins off the muffler and then run my pipes so it looks like this

i had brainstormed this awhile back and the way the G35 and Z muffler (and most of the flowmasters) are set up is perfect..

unfortunately, I don't think the 350 muffler will fit under there, but I'd have to see the car and the muffler again to see... tomorrow I'll try to take some meausrements for you, but I'll warn you- these mufflers are HUGE!

Sorry.. forgot to get them the other day...
here's a crappy drawing I did in about 30 seconds...
www.mattblehm.com/stuff/muffler.jpg
all piping on it is 2.5" the little wedge on the front of the muffler is removeable and not included in those measurements. it sticks out another 5-6" in front of the muffler.
let me know if that answers the stuff you need.

You have any roon inbetween the spare tire well and the rear of the bumper. The only way I see this working is if you mount the muffler the same way as it's in the Z but instead of the muffler being parallel to the ground, mount it perpendicular to the ground. Ie.. maybe fitting it inbetween the tire well and the bumber

I suppose. But won't you have one pipe pointing towards the front of the car? You will have to extend that one quite a bit. If there is any room to do so.
