Are you sure you really want to get that done? I mean I love my car just as much as anyone else on here, but I don't do tattoos. And if I did, I certainly wouldn't get one of my car. I'd get one with my girlfriend's name on it, or "Mom" or something. Cars only last for so long, and who's to say you're not going to drive another car later on in life? I think the Maxima is being discontinued after '05 anyway, and a 4th gen won't last forever. Mine has 133,305 miles on it right now, had coils and KS changed, and needs new motor mounts. I'll eventually have to get rid of it. You should really think about what you're doing. Maybe get one of them stick-on temporary tattoos?

You don't have to drive a car forever to be in love with it. Heck, you don't even have to drive a car at all to be in love with it. I've loved Lambo's since I was a kid, and I've never driven/ridden in one. I've seen a lot worse tatoos than a car. Yesterday I was watching Discover Health (I think) and it was about humanimals... people who have tatted their whole bodies to "become" some animal they were obsessed with.

 

Find a real pic you like and take it to the Tattoo Artist. The second word (Artist) is the Key plus since he's been using skin as his medium he'll probably have some good ideas as far as color/size/shading and angle. You'll pay a little more because it's custom but you ARE going to have it Forever.

 

well if he has tatto's all over his body, than go for it. haha, but good luck when you start hating your max for being too SLOW!

Hey I wasn't trying to make a debate out of anything. I just think it would be pretty stupid. Granted, my analogies weren't the best, but I think Ant96GLE pretty much said what I meant to say.

 

Just find the best place in your area and spend alot of time with artist who actaully owns the shop to get it right.

And comparing humanimals to a bad tattoo isnt really the same. People who are humanimals are effed up, people who get bad tattoos and think they look good are stupid.

Id really think about this, because I think this is exactly like getting a girlfriends name on you. I think is a really dumb tat. I know its your body and do whatever you want to it, but part of a tattoo is to show it off. And I think when you show it off, people are gonna do what we are doing right now, which is just laugh at it

I'm happy I didnt get a tattoo of my 1982 Toyota Corolla Station Wagon... boy I thought that was gods gift to the automotive industry when I had it... but then again most of us do when we get our first car...
