hey dude

i dont think you should be doing something your not too familar with. it could dammage your parts plus you could hurt yourself big time. Before you drop your tranny, you need to remove a small access plate and there should be 4 bolts in there for you to remove on the torque converter. do this BEFORE you drop the tranny! screw the manual! you dont need it, pull driveaxles, disconnect all accessories stuff, remove starter, remove tranny to engine bolts, remove motor mounts, drop on tranny jack, boom your done. takes us a lil under 2 hours to drop.

oh, manual says to drop the cross member but we never do and have no probs.

Yeah....what he said.....

Its not a big deal, you just have to know what bolts to remove, and how to lower the tranny (make sure car is high enough to get tranny out from underneath it).

pull axles away (you don't have to pull them off), tranny housong bolts, all wires that atache to car (starter, TCU, linkage, etc)...tranny/engine mount bolt. Lower with jack (don't hurt the pan)..

When its away from the car, swap the starter, mount, linkage, etc when the trannies are side-by-side, one part at a time....Jack back under car, put all the bolts back...If you do the tranny housing bolts first (not tight), the TC bolts to the flywheel will be easier to line up....
