Excellent! The instructions are through and the pics help immensely.

I can’t wait for the next group buy on the brake kit!

Looks good

I used just two 3/8 washers for the centering... but then again, yours fit Did Brian recommend a break in procedure?

Re: Looks good

I believe he said take it easy for about 150 miles...

I feel the actually break in is much longer... I still don't think my pads have completely settled in...

I did try some hard stops.... I had a big afterwards.

What are your impressions so far Brett? or NE1 else who has done it... pics on SE rims would be nice too!

I used to have a set of Brian Hasty's 'Fastbrakes' on my CRX. In fact, it was one of the first sets he made. He supplied the adapters and you get a set of 90+ Integra calipers and 11.0" VW Corrado rotors. Other than having to mill the brake caliper bracket some for bolt clearance, it was a direct bolt-on. There were no washers needed for relocation. The CNC machined aluminum caliper relocating brackets were a nicely designed part and fit perfectly. If you go to Brian to have some made for the Maxima, I am sure he will do an excellent quality job.

Is the link to the instructions dead or is it just me?

I still haven't had the opportunity to install my new brakes yet. I keep getting distracted by other things. Hopefully, I'll be able to use Chunger's instructsions when the time comes.

Chunger, you mentioned using shims instead of washers to center the calipers. Pardon my ignorance, but where could I get the shims that I need?

Thanks again for forging ahead.

Torque technique?

Thanks for doing such detailed instructions for the installation. You make me want to learn enough to work on my own brakes.

Being a newbie, I have a question. Toward the end of the installation it says:
REINSTALL THE NEW CALIPER AND TORQUE THE 7/16” BOLTS TO 50 lb-ft PER INSTRUCTIONS. (YOU WILL NEED A 7/16” OPEN END WRENCH FOR THE TIGHT FIT!) SEE BELOW STEP.

It appears from the pictures that the 7/16" bolts have an allen head on one end. How does one apply 50 ft-lb of torque? Please tell me how to do this. I did not notice any allen adapters on the shelves at Sears when I got my torque wrench to install my fstb and rsb. If this is a common tool please excuse my newbie ignorance and tell me where I might find the adapters.

Thanks for the post and the assistance.
