Installing new pads but not getting rotors for a few weeks - bad?

I've got some Hawk pads on the way - should be here by tomorrow.

My brakes are annoying the hell out of me with the grinding noise from the metal tabs. I want to replace my rotors as well, but AutoMax won't be able to ship them for a week or so from what I understand.

So.....if I put the pads on tomorrow will I be ok if I bed them in good? Or will I f them up if I don't wait for the rotors.

I don't think the rotors are bad, just a little warped in the front, not too extreme. They are Brembo blanks w/ about 40K on them. I just figured if I'm getting pads - I should get rotors!

It is best to mate new pads up with resurfaced or new rotors

Funny, I actually heard you should bed new pads with used rotors (as long as they aren't damaged).

what about if you just turned your rotors to get a new surface and then use those untill the new ones come. i think autozone will turn rotors for you.

What about new cars fresh from the lot? Seems those are new pads & rotors being broken in at the same time.
