Cam accross this on the web. The software is a free download ant the parts needed total less than $5. I have found a few independent reviews online and they all say they are accurate. I am probably going to give it a try, just wondering if anyone has had any experiences?

I tried it but screwed up on the inductive pickup. However the Road dyno works flawlessly. As long as the weight/specifications are accurate the results will be repeatable. Road dyno was within 2whp/2wtq of the dyno I had done.

I wonder, it gives HP and TQ nunbers based off of a wav file? I dont know how acurate that can be. I'm little scepticle but I'd like to be proven wrong.

i am really interested in this thing... i am confused on how to connect it to the engine... anyone know where to connect? and how to make the thing to connect to the coil?

you feed it information based on your engine, vehicle weight, gearing, etc etc etc...
then it watches the rate of RPM change while you're driving... it knows how fast the engine is accelerating the car that way, and it can calculate HP and TQ from the weight and acceleration.


nifty, but not accurate enough for what I need.

I have a similar version to this, its called speed tracer. It comes with the auto enginuity scantool software. I couldn't get mine working correctly, too many variables
