When cleaning your bad-boy make sure to open the trunk and clean the spots under the spoiler, as the spoiler is wider than the deck lid. If you miss these spots, you'll see two very funny spots on your rear quarter panels. Check it out!

I clean even the door sills, bottom of the trunk lid sides, hood lid sides and engine department. I also clean the back of the door and its panels. Once a month, I place a water sprinkler under my car and clean it.

Yikes! A sprinkler under your car???

Oh, why do you run 15w50 synthetic in your Maxima?? The owners manual recommends 5w30 or 10w30. 15w50 flows like mollasses in comparision to the thin stuff (even if it is synthetic).

15w50 synthetic is a bit thick. I run 5w50 synthetic, with no problems. I believe I drive hard enough to use an oil with a higher viscosity rating than 5w30, which is also used in Buicks.

cleaning the underside

cleaning the underside of your car is the best protection against rust that there is. moisture and salt underneath mud accelerates the cathode-anode reaction that strips away electrons and causes iron to rust.

Buicks, and Corvettes too. the 15w is probably ok as long as the temps never go below 50 degrees, but that's not too many places. It's like 10W 30 and 10W 40 in the old days, people debated which to use when it really didn't make any difference. If 10W 40 were better it wouldn't cost the same. And people buying Mobil 1 would be idiots to pay so much for 5W 30 if it weren't a good all-around weight.
