Just for perspective, I bought some 2005 calipers (already have the 6th gen rotors from the BlehmCo kit) and did a test-fit last week.

-they will NOT fit under the 5th=gen SE 17's
-they will fit fine under my G35 18's (different offset also)

full switch to come when it warms up....

I know this has been a while, but which stud/bolt do you use when you mount the 6yh gen torque member to bored-out holes of the 4th gen spindle?

I assume you use the 6th gen bolts.....do they thread correctly to 4th gen spindle after boring out the flange hole?

I would say you need to use the 6th gen bolts because the threads are on the torque member. The bolts just go through the torque member of your 4th gen knuckles that you just bored out to have the same diameter that will accept the 6th gen bolts. There's no threads on the knuckle.

Good to go. I was just about wondering about that. Now I need to make sure I get the 6th gen bolts as well.

What wheels are you using?

I have Team Loco wheels...they are 17X7 with 35mm offsets. Based on my calculation, my spokes "should" clear the caliper but I would not know until I test fit them. Your wheels are 17X7.5 with 45mm offset, assuming the wheels design are the same, I should get about 3-4 mm more clearance compared to your wheels.

I am still thinking to back out of this if the calipers/rotors are too heavy though.

Are you going to get junkyard rotors or new rotors? If youre getting new rotors you should consider participating in having 2 piece 6th gen rotors made through Matt93SE. http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....ght=2k4+brakes

If you plan on keeping your car for awhile I would definitely get those 2 piece rotors and not have to worry about them for years to come.

The 6th gen rotors are much heavier than our puny stock rotors. I dont remember the weight of the stock caliper/torque member + rotor combo but the 6th gen caliper assembly + pads + rotors are roughly 35# per side.

I cant say for certain if it affected my acceleration because it feels the same to me. Also my fuel ecomony hasn't been affected after the install.

I'll definitely want to keep the car for a while, forever if God permits. However, I don't think Matt is going to make them since he got burned when he made the rear brake package.

Plus, if I factor in the cost of new lightweight rotors, it would be too much $$$. Unless Matt/somebody else makes custom rotors in a quantity where price will be much lower.

I just hope that caliper clears my wheels cause they are really bulky calipers if you have ever looked at them up close and in person!
i just got my calipers in today (z32 ones) and they are ALOT bigger than i imagined...now i know why so many people have clearance problems with em lol.

This is a really kewl setup tho, for the price that is.
