'96 ignition coils on a 2k?

I've got a great deal on some ignition coils for my car. I have a 2k max that runs like a beat up 4 cyl. If anyone knows if these ('96 coils) will fit and operate correctly with no side effects, please let me know. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

AFAIK no, but I can't say that with certainty, though I recall hearing that they're incompatible.

As far as I know the only difference is the three on rear bank have only one hole for a screw to hold it and the plug points up instead of towards the front of the car. They should function correctly though. I'm running '96 coils in my front and '00 coils in the rear and haven't had any problems.
