I hate to bring up what we were taught in statistics, but they must be reliable and valid. To keep saying that the Maxima is the most stolen vehicle is what, making us feel like our cars are wanted somehow? Like I’ve said, I’ve owned mine for 7 years. It’s parked in the worst sections of Montréal, New York, Boston, Jersey City, Newark, Philadelphia, DC, Baltimore, New Brunswick. Nobody has so much as touched my car, except to ding it. That’s 7 years worth of data….so they can say all they want. From my personal experience nobody bothers with a stock Maxima with 18’s.

"Model-year 2002 and 2003 Nissan Maximas are the second most popular among thieves, primarily because of the car's expensive headlights."

That's already been known long before that article was published due to the insurance claim on the Maxima.

Insurance sucks on my 2000 even without the expensive projector headlights. I am paying $1600 dollars ever 6 months for a stock 2000 GXE with a five speed.
