If you paid the tickets when you got them, you would not be $400 in debt. You might try borrowing from some relatives to keep from getting impounded.

pay your dues, if you are dumb enough to get that much in parking tickets
ask them if you can take community service and work it back to them

The funny thing about this is, i only had like 2 tickets, which i paid but, the other tickets were from a friend of mine, i wasn't even aware of this until when i called the station, the guy is not even in the country right now.........

Your friend should be put to sleep for that. Borrows your car, gets tickets, doesn't pay them or tell you about them? Drop him, after suing him for the ticket price. I'd almost just take his stuff and start pawning it and not tell him about it or mention the tickets

Why would one be unaware of tickets? It doesn't matter who parked the vehicle, in most places notices are sent regarding add'l fines before the boot goes on.

It's interesting how the poster would like some money to pay. There should be a BOOT somewhere else besides on his max, preferably size 12 or larger. Reminds me of the HS students in my town who want to go to Finland again for a hockey tournament. They stand outside the Wawa and want you to put $20 bills in their Vapor SFL skates, which mommy and daddy bought for them on sale at $349. Don't forget to give them $50 if you want to help them get to the tournament in Québec. Here's a novel idea--if you need money for something, how about creating value and earning it? That's the way it kinda works in the real world.

I was thinking the same thing. You have so much time to pay your fines before they give you the boot. Sounds like a scam at the least. Let's see how many more excuses he comes up with.

Go to your local blood bank, I think they can help you from there.

Sell your computer and take out a loan. When you have the money, buy it back.

LOL, I think is time to sell your maxima.

You could start by houding your friends for the money they owe you...

on another note, I was involved in a hit and run accident, and my bumper, tailight, and fender are left unrepaired. Send some money over this way too.

Dude, why are you asking us for money? Don't you have any family member? How about your buddy's family? Your friends?

I'm assuming a cop happened to be in the same parking lot, for some reason, he decided to run your plate and found out that you owe $400.......................

That episode was freakin' hilarious. Waits all day and tries to **** in a mail box ("Don't you even think about it!").

"Are we going back next year dad?"
"We'll see, dear, we'll see"

I don't know what the boot looks like on your car or how tight it fits, but when my college buddy got his car booted he just deflated the tire and was able to slip the boot off, then put the spare on and drove home.

The person who booted his car didn't put it on properly, but that's rare. The thing is, getting booted indicates a problem already, imho, with the registrant. I question if such a person is even responsible enough to operate a motor vehicle. It is a crime to remove the boot. So attempting to do so is like using water to put out a gasoline fire. Just plain dumb.

*sigh* Petroleum floats in water, hence using water will make it spread ALL OVER the place... heres a good explanation

Class B Fires
Gasoline, gas, kerosene, fuel oil, oil, grease, oil base paints, varnishes and stains, cleaning fluids, solvents and lighter fluids are the fuels for Class B fires. These are petroleum products.

Proper storage of these materials is the best method of preventing Class B fires. Keep products away from heat and provide good air circulation. Smoking around these products is an absolute No-No.

These fuels float on water; therefore water is not effective in fighting Class B fires. Indeed, water will often cause these fires to spread. The result is a bigger and more dangerous fire. To fight these fires you must remove either the fuel from the fire or the source of air. Fire and chemicals which remove the air are used to fight these fires. A wet blanket or even dirt or sand can be used to control or extinguish a Class B fire.
