This has probably been discussed, but being new I wanted to get the maxima forum input on this. I recently installed some eibach springs on my 2000. A week or two later I started to hear some noise from the springs. I contacted eibach and they said, since the springs are progressive and 3 or 4 coils touch, some of the (powder?) coating rubs off (I wish they would have said that up-front). So, what I need to do is put some rubber or vinyl coating on the springs. Has anyone else heard of this or had similar problems and does anyone else who has them installed, like them? I do know I like the looks of the car w/them on.

Thanks,
Mike

The springs that I have seen come with a rubber sleeve wrapped around the top coils, which keeps them from squeaking. See if Eibach will send the sleeves to you. I haven't ever heard of them rubbing off, though.
