Question about bose

my rear speakers and my front amps are blown... if i were to get new speakers(non-bose) would they hook straight up to the bose head unit? or does it need the amps(wich wouldnt work with aftermarket speakers)? or if i get new bose speakers and get a new headunit later will i be able to just use the bose speakers (bypassing the amps)?

thanks
Tony

YES. it needs the amps, they will not work with aftermarket speakers.

You cannot hook a new headunit into the bose system without a convertor. Your best bet is ripping it all out and going all aftermarket. Or replacing the blown BOSE equipment and adding an adapter for additional amps\sub bass.
