which HID kit?!!!

as most of you probably have noticed there are two threads inthe GD section one kit from maximabest and one from umnitza. asking them didnt help much cuz both were basically saying taht their kit was superior to the others. Any feedback from those that have purchased the kits would help. Im more converned over warranty and service as i think both kits would perform more or less the same. the Helios kit seems to havemore backing and sold by more retailers while the prolumen appears to be something a little more new and up and coming.

I brought my HID kit 6000k from Umnitza last week, I must say everyhitng went well. THe package came in good and the light output was amazing compared to my halogens. I asked him many questions thru email and he respnded promptly. Maximabeast takes longer to answer so I stayed away for that reason. Other than that both kits are excellent.

Forget the kit and do a retrofit! Buy some projectors and go with OE ballasts and bulbs. They'll be more reliable!

ive contemplated going that route but no matter how i added the items up this kit was much cheaper. i know this is a maxima forum but this is going in to my 240sx. its a 95 with the fluted lenses and the only way to do it properly in that car is to get clear lens covers (350 for two plastic covers to replace the oem fluted lenses) and then the complications of a typical retrofit. people have done it and its an investment of close to 1000 bucks. I know you can just buy oem bulb ballast and use a casper shield with 16v fog light wiring but i wasn't up for the work involved. so the kit was the only other choice. cost effective, has a warranty, and tons of ppl here have one.

i decided to go with the prolumen mainly for the customer service reason. they have a site/store front/ i called and talked to them in person and email was fast and prompt. maximabest couldnt tell me anything other than " helios is the best! buy it!" and that was the answer to every question i had (technical and general).
