Heads Up Display

So along with the other toys that I have been working on, I finally got to mount the LCD Screen for the zeitronix unit. The taps that I was using for the testing of the wire dont seem to make enough contact with the ecu, so I have no pics of the unit working just yet. I will correct the problem by the end of next week. What does everyone think?

That looks really nice Steve! Probably looks cool when driving too. Is there any way you can turn the displays off? I don't think I'd want em on all the time at night, especially if you want to keep a low profile.

Wanted to do this also, thanks for giving a visual. Looks like that would be the perfect spot.

Do you really need to watch the SAFC while driving?

So, what would you do if your MAF wasn't "pushing" enough air?

How much is enough?

Nice project and good idea. To each his own. I don't think I would do it but if you're FI'd I could certainly see why you might want to monitor you SAFC!

if it gets close to maxing out i will shut it down.

It was either this way or an assload of gauges up the a pillar.

The zeitronix unit shows boost, egt and wb afr. I didn't want to go rice, so to put up two little screens makes it more out of the way.

After next week, I am bumping up to a 2.87 pulley and z32 maf and injectors.

from what I've always heard, heads up display means projecting something (speed, tach, whatever) onto the windshield

either way, good job. I assume you're using those quicksplice taps. They make different sized ones (red, blue, yellow) so you can get them for different gauge wires if you're having trouble making a reliable connection at the ECU wiring.

craig-i used blue, which are a little bigger, i didnt have any red ones at 10pm when i wired it in.

royal-for the mounting, i bought an Apexi stand that comes with their rsm, avcr, and safc's. I am still planning on driving down for the wedding.

Yeah, I'm disappointed, that's not even close to a true HUD. Good work, though.
