hey guys,
FiberImages
Carbon Fiber or Carbon Kevlar Hoods for 1995-99 Nissan Maximas
Now Taking PRE-ORDERS.
The hoods have been completed, and are in the final fitment stages before
mass production. Pricing will be based on an introductory Group Deal of
the first twenty hoods are ~$425 a piece. roughly. Pricing is will be
determined in a week or so. but ballpark range for 20 units sold. I will
be taking names, and contact information now for a pre-order
status, and you will most likely be contacted by Leonard from Fiberimages
when the offical start of the group deal begins.
The Carbon Fiber hoods weigh only 13 pounds, and offer over 50% weight
reduction over the stock hood. Recent in-house stress tests and safety
tests have proven the hoods to be structurally secure and resonably safe
from frontal and side impacts. The hood will flex and then pop back to
it's molded shape! Amazing!
Carbon Fiber Hood (black carbon) $425ish for 20 units sold
for Caron Kevlar (yellow, red, dark blue shading) add $100.00
Please email me at chebosto@hotmail.com subject=Carbon Fiber Hoods

Cheston,
how much is shipping. The last time I spoke to Andy from body kit north west, who reps fiber images, he said the shipping can get expensive because of the special crate involved. Plz ask Leonard and info us?

thanks, ming

Paint may add to the weight of the car. The whole point of carbon fiber products is the weight savings.

I'm with dmbmaxima

I have a white car and I will be on top of the rice chain with a white car and different color hood (in my opinion). Also, are there going to be any hoods with scoops or anything that makes the car look bada$$ in production? I understand the purpose of the carbon fiber, but I don't think i can look at my car having a different color hood than the car itself. Do you have any ideas for customizing my stock hood to like bada$$??

i did

I noticed you were gone don't worry, so you gonna fly out for MAXUS or what?? I heard something about painting the hood but i heard it has to be some candy semi-clear paint and you can still see the carbon fiber grain through the paint, am i right on that. So anyway what does everything think of a CF hood on a white max??

you could always...

Make your own hood with scoops etc. It's not that hard. I'm guessing that when you replace the hood with a carbon fiber one you're going to be holding it down with hoodpins, and not the standard, weighty hood apparati.

sprintmax: take out your back seat...oh wait you proabbly use it! ^_~ KIDDING! You need to remember you are driving a sedan. If you want a lighter car of a similar engine type, go check out a late 300ZX!

the 3Z's arent light cars either man! hehe

Cheston, since the hood struts are made for the weight of the stock hood, with the Carbon fiber one, when you open your hood, is it gonna pop up fast? juss wondering how that would work...thanks

I personally think that the carbon fiber looks the best on white cars. There are a couple civics and integras around town with the hoods, and I have noticed that they look the most appealing on white cars. Silver looks good too. Would we be using the latch, or hood pins?

They should fit stock hood latches, no pins needed.

as for the CF looking good on a white car, eh. its kinda tacky. but if you dont care and want the racer look, more power to you..

i'm prolly going to get the carbon kevlar with the blue tint so it would match my paint...

Fiber Images makes good hoods. Mine fit with no problems, im interested in seeing how they hold up with hood struts. If i was you guys i would get hood pins with all that constant force trying to push the hood up.
