Well...
I met up with "sleeper" and "quansung" today at Etown for the NIRA Spring Natl's...had a good time...
Great day overall...
I got a new best E.T....
The ONLY thing I changed since the last outing was my clutch.
I LOVE THIS CENTERFORCE DUAL FRICTION CLUTCH!! Great feel!

I was able to pull off a 2.16 60' ON MY 19" RIMS!!!!!
Prior to the clutch install my BEST was 2.3.

End result was a new personal best....
13.82 @ 101 w/ a 2.16 60' time....
Remember...i still got stock exhaust....
And my 3.25" pulley is only giving me 7psi...not 10psi.
(Finally got my boost gauge installed.

I dunno if QuanSung raced...but i saw Sleeper run...
I think he said he ran a 13.3...but the pass i saw was a 13.7.

On a sidenote...Steph Papadakis set a new world record!
8.4 @ 171mph (yesterday)...
And some Puerto Rican Toyota Paseo ran 7.3 @ 180MPH!!!!
Lots of impressive cars there.

I thought that clutch couldn't hold power.. maybe its when you hit over 8.5 PSI because Ethan was having trouble with it... or was that a different clutch?

congrats on your new time [synki voice]Take off those damn 19's [/synki voice]

I'm happy your CenterForce Clutch is working for you. My Stage III Centerforce Clutch sucked! It would slip all over the place. Maybe the Centerforce Clutch on the 5th get is better? Anyways does this mean you are keeping your SC?! BTW nice run!

Well you are the only person I've heard complain about a Centerforce clutch although I'm sure there are others out there who have had problems with them...
The key to a good clutch is a proper break-in...
Mine was broken in with 500 miles in stop & go traffic...
So it seems I am being rewarded for my patience.
We'll see how I like it after I get some real mileage on it but as for now....I am in love.

I also think the 5th gen clutch actually IS better from the factory and possibly the aftermarket 5th gen clutches may be made better as well....Because my stock clutch was holding up just fine, even w/ the smaller pulley, but I just replaced it because the stock clutch has no feel...

I might just have to keep the SC afterall.
But you can be damn sure that I will continue my Stillen Boycott.
