Installing NOS is more of Electrical know how than anything else. Especially if you have the bottle heater. I took my kit off when I sold my 4th gen. and lets just say I would rather pay a shop to do it and know its done by someone that has installed it once before. Forget to install the nozzle for the shot size, and lets just say KABOOOM.

I have the JC Whitny kti and i have been installing my kit. I hve been working on it for the past 2 weeks. I have been taking my time and not rushing. So far i have put together the soleniods and mounted that, ran the main line under the car, did all electrical work, mounted teh relay, installed gauge and hooked that up as well. All i have left to do is mount the bottle on the trunk, drill my intake hole and hook that line up. Add in my fuel safety switch (I need to go get some brass fittings for the fuel line) and i will be done.

how much does it cost to get a shop to install it? After seeing that pic of the blown up max, I think I would pay for that peace of mind. Unless, here's the scary part, the blown up max that had the nos kit was installed by a proffessional.

Synki got a few questions for ya:

Which side did you mount the bottle?
Did you run the line next to the fuel line?
Where did you drill the hole for the brackets?
Where did you drill the hole for the line out of the trunck or did you find an opening?

Thanks for your help...

Re: Synki / bottle install

Not Synki, but here are some info.

Mount the bottle on the passenger side trunk area. It's better if you bolt it up againest metal.

Yes, run the nitrous line next to the fuel line. Use zip ties.

Drill the hole near the valve of the nitrous bottle. Look under the car first to make sure you can get to it easily and the drill is not going to hit anything. Try to stay away from the exhaust path if you can.

There is a drain plug under the spare tire, but it's just too much trouble to run the SS line that way.

Get a Unibit, they are awesome for drilling through sheet metal. Nice and clean holes.

I mounted the bottle on the driver side.

Did you run the line next to the fuel line?
I ran the line down the driver side along with the fuel line. All i did was zip tie them. That is all that is need to be done.

Where did you drill the hole for the brackets?
The hole for which brakets? The soleniods? I mounted this on the wheel well of the driver side. I had to mount mine further down in, so its kinda hidden but yet aways from everything else.

Where did you drill the hole for the line out of the trunck or did you find an opening?
I know on teh 4th gens, there are 3 gromets on each side, maybe more or less but there are at least 3 i know of. I used the fact gromet in teh trunk. There is a wire in my trunk that runs into the gromet, i sued this one. It goes right to the bottom and out.

Thanks for your help...
No prob, i hope i answered all your questions in a manner you can understand. Its a big tough, i dont know all the "true" terms ya know.
