500 miles on a tank is incredible. My best so far is 472 miles on a road trip between Cookeville, TN and Charleston, SC. The Max was loaded with people, luggage, etc. so I was pleased.

Damn gas prices are eating up my beer money!

My personal best was 475 and the car sputtered as I turned into the gas station. Since then, my best calculated mileage was 28.5 mpg, but I didn't run the tank down to the fumes to beat 500 miles.

With the current gas prices, I will best 500 miles per tank...

Eh, everybody's been saying they're going to take it easy now with the high gas prices. But, for the few extra bucks it's going to cost you per fill, I say just have fun with the car. With 255 hp, that's what it was designed for.

Makes me wonder what kinda gas mileage all those "Maxima grandmas" are getting...I bet it's incredible.

I just got 439 miles using 17.45 gallons of Shell 87 octane and I was beating on the thing this time.

Thats even better than when I would use 93 octane. I wonder if my driving habits are still more conservative than before.

This is going to take a few more tankfuls to figure out.

I've done 527 in my auto with the reserve almost gone. I was driving up and down New Jersey about 3 times that day. Average speed was about 75 MPH.
