My knowledge pertaining to transmissions is very minimal. I know a better clutch and lightened flywheel improves performance on a manual transmission car, but my question is, can these two mods be done to an automatic transmission and if so, are the results worth the money??

This isn't for a Maxima, it's for an Altima.

You can't get a new clutch and lightened flywheel for a automatic car, all that could be done is upgrade the internals of a auto, such as the VB, so that it shift harder like Dons VB does. If you can find one you can get a torque converter. You could also use a LSD, if they make one. But a lightenened flywheel and clutch are only found on manuals.

Extra question about the clutch and flywheel. If I was to change out my clutch to say an act, and if I threw in a lighter flywheel would that decrease my 0-60 times. I have a 97 se 5spd. If so will it still decrease my 0-60 times if I have no other mods.
