Tilley, I know you posted your track times, but do you have a dyno to compare to your old setup (you made 238whp/223wtq I think). What does the butt dyno say? Pulls harder on the topend than the 2002 manifold? What about low end?

I don't think it's as effective as SR20's manifold. He was trapping 107-108 mph last I checked.

Sorry for the newbie question, but what would doing this gain you as far as power/capability? More top end? Loss at low end?

Lowend sucks when you have so much of it. I hop all over the place in first and second.

What did you use to seal it back up? How did you keep it from protruding inward and restriction flow?

Is that Krismax's IM?

i can't see certain angles so I could be wrong on this...

but doesn't cutting that out and putting that flat piece of the bottom make the runners longer? (it looks just like a 4th gen US IM now)

Looks like he cut out the varible portions of the intake. So now it's a always on or always on the "open". Even more so with all the stuff out of the way.

I wonder if taking out the butterfly valves and and pins holding them in the MEVI would be a worthwhile 4g trick ...

well after 2 days of testing it feels great. It drops the tq (helpful with 3.5) but it pulls too 7300 (valve float). I DO NOT recomend this too anyone who has stock rev limiter or wants tq. I came to the conclusion that tq might feel better but when you got too much you can get up and going fast enough, at least at the track that is. I was launching at 6k on friday night

The advantage of individual TB's diminishes when you have to enclose them in a plenum in order to draw air through the maf sensor. To get rid of the plenum you would have to go to something other than an air-flow referenced fuel management system, which complicates things.

i dont know you but sometime you should come up to maple grove and race. idrc is the best time because its an actual race event (and show) and its virtually empty every year. its worth the drive i promise. how far are you from mir and in which direction? it took us 3 hours to get to mir from here.... but it was worth the time and traffic on 95 and 695 lol

Your "Step 1" was a cleaner solution IMHO, but performance should be the same.

Great job Tilley....
