Hertz / Enterprise / Avis

Someone suggested Enterprise, I don't know about this. I do know Avis *used to have* Maximas in some of their East Coast Airport facilities.

If you're just looking for a great car, Hertz might still be renting those Volvo S80 Turbos they had for a while...

I know Hertz "Local Edition" does. Well, at least in San Francisco.

My mom hit a deer with her Camry and we had to get a rental car for three weeks. For only $5 more per day, we could have gotten a Maxima. But nope, we ended up with a POS 99 Monte Carlo. Quite possibly the worst car I've ever driven, even worse than a 1979 Datsun B210 I drove once.

I rented a 2K from Hertz when I flew up to SF. No manuals tho'...

If you have a AAA membership you can get a free upgrade as well, I didn't pay that much.

Avis

in Charleston SC had 'em when I was down there last April..

Eric is sort of right about the Monte's....actually I was pretty excited when the kid told me all they had left for us to choose from was a Lumina or a Monte...duh... I though I was going to get a 2K Monte as I saw them in the lot ....

walked to my spot...and there it was...a beautiful 99 "call me a tourist" white Monte with a big ole dent in the front fender...lol..actually had to laugh.

Really not to bad a car...very comfortable to drive and ride in but the brakes felt shot after 13,000 miles already...big *** blind spot also due to the rear pillar...
