No no ... I'm not trying to look faster or a riceboy. I really need them to keep my hood down. Anyone who's seen my car knows what I'm talking about.

I got into an accident back in November and now my hood latches on, but doesn't close all the way. And on the highway, if I hit a bump, one can see my hood flap up and down a little. It's scary sometimes.

1) So, would hoodpins be able to hold down the stock hood? They're mostly used for carbon fiber hoods, but would "universal hood pins" be strong enough to hold down the stock Maxima hood?

2) Any body shop should be able to put these hood pins in, right?

3) About how much would it cost to put them in?

Not to be a jerk.....BUT......

can't the hood just be fixed properly? Why not just go to the root of the problem. How bad of an accident was it in?

I rear-ended someone and hit a tow-hitch. The problem isn't the hood. It's what the latch attaches too. Even if I were to skimp out on some parts that weren't really damaged (AC condensor, power steering lines) it would still run me over $1200 for full repairs due to the fact that I have frame damage.

When I hit the tow-hitch, it rammed into the metal bar behind the bumper and caused everything to be "pushed" backwards.

Everything looks fine until you open the hood. And everytime I show someone they go, "Oh s**t! It doesn't look that bad from the outside."
