dual 3" mandrel bent exhaust w/ Cattman 3" SS y-pipe, no cat, no mufflers, just a 3" resonator. needless to say - it's loud.

Cool! Were did you split the exaust at? I am having dual exaust put on my car next week, the shop is going to split the exaust at the back of the B-Pipe and it will run through a second Stillen SS mufler.

the exhaust splits before the b-pipe ends and goes across the rear beam. i wanted to split it right after the where the cat is, but the fuel tank is unevenly shaped. there's not enough space to fit a 3" on the drivers side - it'd have to be a small pipe if you wanted to do it that way because there are fuel lines there also.

bill: yeah, those are rx7 wheel, i just put them on yesterday.

Yep, I wanted to do the same thing but because of the fuel lines I am going to split the exaust at the rear beam. Did you do the work your self? The shop I am taking my car to is going to charge me about $400, this includes the new custom pipe, chopping my spare tire well{sp?} and relocating my fuel canaster thingy +$350 for the new Stillen muffler. I think my exaust will be a bit deaper+ quieter though because I will have two mufflers dampening the sound rather then just the one.

Looks really nice.

How is the fit on the RX7 rims, did you have to use any spacers or hubcentric rings? TIA

don:
great minds think alike. =)

emax:
no, i didn't do it myself - i only wish i could weld as good as this exhaust guy does. he's one of the best in this area for mandrel bent exhausts. all the corvette guys, f-body guys, mustang guys go to him.

Llfe:
yes, those are Z28 tips.

Lordrandall:
the fronts fit fine but the rears need a thin spacer because the wheel will not go all the way against the hub - there's like 1/16inch space left. so close and yet so far.

Synki:
power gains? i haven't sprayed on the 3" exhaust yet.

Chrome RX7 rims, thats nice! nice exhaust too...

Feel any diference in acceleration with the lighter and smaller diameter RX7 rims? How wide were your old rims? I love the 8" wide RX rims! Glad that spacer thing worked out for ya in the back, its kinda a wierd thing. LOOKS REAL GOOD!!!

If you really wanted bad *** you should have used the HKS Hiper muffler set-up. It would probably go better with a 3rd gen though..

hmmmm, maybe you should get those 13" Firefly rims for your Maxima! They weight only 12lb. Since you think downgrading the car is cool, then you should go straight ahead!

Now, Iknow you are saying/typing/thinking "mmmmmm. Firefly 13" wheel. Light and downgrade my car"

emax95, I guess you would consider dual as a cosmetic change mostly, as it won't do anything (Maybe decrease) the performance of your SC'ed car by adding a more restrictive system with two mufflers and another split (rear Y).

well, one man's trash is another man's treasure - at least for me in this case. for the price, they were alot better than what i had to begin with. my old wheels were 47lbs each and they wouldn't hold a 255 tire.

AznWontonBoy:
i raced an rx7 and i won. =)

today's a nice day outside, i think i'll go make some vids and post later today.

rx7 wheels fit fine on the front. i had to put spacers in the rear to make the back ones fit.

i got vids and pics, i'll post 'em later tonight, gotta go to gf's house now.
