Another "how often"...

How often do other Max drivers ask you about your customized Max? Has it ever happened?
Some dude gave me the ...I'm guessing for my clears and my shaved butt.

Nope, never happened to me. My Maxima is stock and all the other Maxima drivers I see in my area are old and grey.

I haven't had the chance to be stopped next to too many Max owners, but several Camry and Accord owners that look at it from the front almost always ask me what it is. hehehe

Not your typical grocery getter.

Yeah mine is pretty much stock-looking and it doesn't draw too much attention. Usually don't get to talk to too many poeple after taking off from a light or things like that.

I just did the DTM and AE mods and my clear corners are on the way. I haven't really driven it around town yet, so I'm hoping somebody will notice! I had one comment from a co-worker before I modded it. There are a lot of Maximas around here, but mostly baby boomers driving them. Not many people around here have modded cars, so at least mine will stand out a bit.

Mostly just people oogling as they walk by it or if they're passing me on the highway. It's quite funny to see them straining their necks to figure out what make and model the car is.

Not much at all... people don't usually ask me, strangers or friends... although sometimes when friends ride in it they're kinda surprised by the speed and handling... I think most people seem to "underestimate" the Max.... I'm happy with that...

a few gas station convos, it's more the details (drop, painted keyhole/shaved trunk, clears) doesn't cause much rubbernecking on the road, but I think that's a good thing. I would much rather have a chat at the pump with a fellow Max (or Nissan) driver than have a pissing contest at a light with the candy paint Civic. That's just me though.

If I notice someone checking out my car, I usually get an eye roll more often than not. A few times I've gotten a "nice car" comment. Nobody has ever asked me about my car on the road.

There was a dude just recently who walked up when I was finishing a wash and said "are those stock rims on that Maxima?" - I said "no, they're 18's from a 2004" and he said "man, I KNEW it... " turns out he owns a Max and said mine didn't look stock with the rims. I told him about the Org (shameless plug).

Yesterday I drove past a checkpoint on Fort Polk and heard one of the guards say "that's a nice looking Maxima"...

not really but I can tell when i drive by they are taking 2nd glances. a NA 300ZX was double taking when I went by and sped up to my speed to try and keep up and take more glances. I guess its a shock to others that such things are available and can be done to a Maxima.

a Carbon Fiber hood on a Maxima?? Nice - Mitsubishi sales rep.
