broken clock

how can i fix my clock on my 4th gen.. i posted in the 4th gen forum but no one answered me.. is it a fuse or something relatively simple to check? i'd appreciate any help; it's really annoying to not have a clock to glance at while driving... i haven't put in an aftermarket cd player yet, so i am constantly checking my cell phone to see what time it is.. and that sucks.. thanks all

can anyone provide any info on this problem for me.. i tried searching on the topic using kevlo911s new search link.. thanks for that btw... and all ive come up with is that it MIGHT be the 7.5 fuse at the upper right part of the fuses.. all my fuses LOOK fine, but i am going to go pick up a 7.5 and try it.. but could there be anything else causing the clock to not work... everything else in the car works fine, bose/mirrors/power everything/antenna, etc.. please please help me... very annoying to drive without a clock...

Just start pulling fuses...it's not going to hurt to check 'em.

I just fixed my clock this morning (4th Gen, 1995).
I pulled it out of the dash completely and dissassembled it.
By inspecting the circuit board, I noticed that one of the components had a broken solder connection (I'm not sure what component it was). I simply resoldered the connection and plugged it back in... VOILA! a working clock.
Apparently that happens ever so often with the 4th gen clocks, so if you have some soldering skills and a soldering iron, it's worth a shot to look at.
What is the "kevlo911s new search link" ?

Good luck,
CFC

Just find someone who's comfortable soldering and who can inspect a circuit board for you. If there is a broken solder connection it is a 5 minute job, and it's cheap!
