On Sat, I got my tune up and noticed that
the front sway bar bushings were torned.
One bushing has its top portion sliding out on the top from
the U bracket. And I have a feeling that
the other bushing will soon rip as well.
These are the urethane ones from Energy Suspension.
Believe it or not, this is my second set.
The first set I had also went bad on me after
installing it for less than a yr. I notified
Courtesy and they told me that I had installed
them incorrectly. The slits are suppose to face
the rear of the car. The first set I had faced
the front instead. So they set me a replacement
set for free. And now after less than a yr
again, the second set went bad despite the fact
that the slits are now facing the rear. I drive
23k miles a yr so chk your bushings if you have
high miles on them. I am going back to stock rubber
ones now since I can no longer trust the ES bushings.

A year ago, they told me that the slits should face the front! I guess they don't know which way they are supposed to face to keep from tearing.

I just got Addco polyurethane ones at PEPBOYS and 'modified' it with a dremel and have not had a problem with it yet... I also bought the endlink busings and cut them to the appropriate angle to work with factory bar...

I was thinking of getting the ES but I guess I'll just stick to my 'customized' Addcos...
