For people w/ Factory Navigation

Anyone interested to install TV or DVD in their Factory Navigation Screens? There is a Group Buy going on at www.Acurazine.com. Its $150 if we get 20 people. The unit is a RGB Convertor and adds 2 inputs one for DVD/TV and one rear back-up camera. He originally sells them for $299. So pretty hot if we get 20 people.

Here is the Link: DVD Navi

It works with all factory Navs. There will be a switch for nav, DVD, back-up camera. Dom, he will provide you with wiring instructions. Also he has a shop in Brooklyn, if anyone lives in NY area.

Sorry if I confused anyone?? If anyone is interested in the GB, they should join the Acurazine forums, and post on that GB forum to tell Dom that your in. That way we can hit 20 ppl in no time. Instead of starting a separate GB. BTW, I don't even drive a Acura. I'm installing this in my 05 Pilot w/ Navi. Ask Dom the questions regarding the wiring, b/c he gave me the wiring diagram for my Pilot. So I'm pretty sure he has them for all Cars and Trucks.

Hopefully I clarified everything, if not just email me or post here. Sorry Again Everyone.

Hey I have a question? Will this work for the dinosaur nav guys? I have navigation but it's cd based and not dvd based. MB and BMW were using CD based until two years ago so am I in the same $hit boat as MB and BMW or will my Dinosaur unit work as long as I buy a dvd rear unit or something?

I can verify that too. I used to be Thorodredcls on the acura forums (back in the day) and I ask Dom the same questions about our CD base Navigation and he did say it WILL work. So all of us with the dino Navs should be ok.

Has anyone actually located the wires running from our navigation unit to the screen?
That is where we'll need to cut and his instructions will include the wire colors but not where the Nav unit resides or the wiring path.
He did confirm it will work and the Navi will still be operating in background with audio voice over. No climate control visuals until it is turned off. I'm not sure if the touch screen works on a DVD. I don't see how it could.

haha +1 for the I35 My climate controls are a seperate unit from the navi screen. The I35 navi works independently with a seperate control unit, kinda like the g35. Not many wires for me to deal with. Ok let me stop boasting, Man i can't wait until i receive my converter.

For anyone who is interested in the Group Buy. So far its at 35 ppl @ $125. So if anyone wants in at this price contact Dom by Phone or PM.

A majority of the ppl agreed we should just end the GB and pay now so we can get the convertor quicker b/c the next discount is $110 and not worth the wait. Here is the linky.
http://www.acurazine.com/forums/sho...t=306979&page=5

I agree also. Here is what Dom posted.
Hi Everyone
If eveyone agrees for the $125 start calling in with your credit card info or pay pal the money to sales@navwithtv.com. When I have 31 + people confirmed I will start shipping for the $125 price.
Thanks Dominic

So anyone can get in on this for $125.

I ordered this and put it in my 04 max. The install was easy and the instructions were perfect. But, after I got it in I went to test it and I thought it didn't work, turns out I must have let a wire touch ground while I was soldering and blew a fuse. Replaced it and it works great. Anyway, while I thought it didn't work, before finding the blown fuse, I emailed dominic and he replied within 3 hours( this was after business hours) gave a few suggestions and gave me his cell phone number so I could speak to him directly. I am thoroughly impressed. Most of the people I've dealt with make you wait till business hours to speak to someone. I can definitely recommend this unit if you already haven't decided to buy it yet.

I just went down there and picked it up myself... pretty nice shop even if the rest of their stuff is a little pricey...

Dom wasn't there at the time but they honored the price (I had talked to him earlier)... got 2 sets of instructions printed out plus a couple of sheets in the box. So far so good... now I just gotta figure out how to get this installed on my friend's G35 coupe...

Will do, but it's not my car, so I don't know how long it's gonna be...

I need a backup camera for mine and one for my friend, but the one I saw over at Dom's place was a bit on the expensive side -- especially when ebay ones go for like $99.

I'll post when I get both cars set up though... but probably in the A/V folder.
