for people w/ BREMBO!

Do any of you guys that have Brembo rotors experience greater rusting than with either OE rotors or other mfr. rotors (PowerSlot, Rotora, etc...)?
I'm in need of new rotors but have read that a lot of people on several different car forums (nothing on maxima.org yet) are unhappy w/ their Brembos b/c they rust more and faster than other rotors.
Thanks!

My Brembo X-drilled rotors were plated. I got them through Stillen as part of their brake upgrade package. They have absolutely no rust on the hub area and after 50,000 miles of use they brake as smooth as the day I put them on the car.

Bottom, line - I couldn't be more happy with the brakes on my car.

EDIT: If you look closely at the left rear wheel in my sig, you can still see the shine on the hub area of the rotor.

most brembos I see are sold already cadmium or zinc plated, so therefore less rust

If you get plated rotors, there won't be any rust. I have been very happy with my Brembos.

Actually I know someone w/ a 2k2 SE-R SpecV who got them from somewhere (he couldn't remember where) and after about 20,000 miles he was getting a lot of rust on his rotors. That's what made me research this. I checked some other forums (like the Sentra forum he visits) and I think I also saw someone write something like this on the nasoic.com forum and vwvortex.com.

However, the more I search for stores that sell Brembos I also notice that almost all of them are already sold plated.

I have Brembo X-Drilled rotors. They have been installed for about 3 weeks now and are rusting pretty badly. I should have paid the $10/rotor extra for zinc plating.

Well, I just ordered a pair of Brembo Slotted rotor from the GD. I'll see the result once it's on the car.

Can I ask where you bought them?

if you go on ebay, they have a whole bunch of brembos on there. Some of them even offer free zinc plating.

Well they painted the hub for free with anti rust paint...but the part around the hub that is flat which doesn't touch the pad in addition to the outer edge are rusting.

I bought them from user '935' on e-bay (Elite Auto). They were 40 mins from my place so I picked them up locally...they are an authorized dealer for Brembo and the rotors I got were authentic.

I wasn't too sure about checking eBay but since some of you say it's OK then I'll give it a shot. I checked lots of online shops and I found all the prices to be w/in 40.00 of each other (except for redlinemax.com) their price for 1 is the same as tirerack.com has for 2 - but I'm sure I'm just overlooking something.

The only reason I didn't go with him was because of the insane shipping prices to Canada. Otherwise, if I lived in the US I would definitely choose him and look nowhere else.

I got everything from him as well and I couldn't be happier. No rust at all 40,000+ miles later.
