That's right! On the second leg of my drive out to Maxus I averaged a speed of 74 mph (actually it was a pretty constant 74 mph 90% of the ride). I filled up somewhere in PA and hit 500 miles 30 minutes into Illinois. When I stopped to fill up, the tripmeter read 504 but I'm sure I could have gone another 20 miles before the light would come on.

I think I'm going to take 35 but I heard there's a lot of construction down there.

 

I don't know what it looks like but i35 has been under construction since I can remember.

 

dang dude...did you go through wichita to oklahoma? 35 almost ALWAYS has construction...but you'll most likely run into a lot of speeders that you can follow on the way to dallas. It's friday though...hurry b4 traffic picks up.
