How to fix door sag?

My driver side door is starting to get harder to open because it feels like its sagging. Now it takes a little push or pull to get it open. Do I just need to re-tighten the bolts or is it something else?

You can adjust it at the hinges, also you can adjust the door striker plate.

You might need new hinges, if you weren't up on lubricating them over the years, they ware out. You can check the hinge condition by opening the door and pulling up and down to see if there is any play. If you feel play, the hinge needs to be changed to correct the sag. Check both the upper and lower hinge to see if they both have play.

mine is acting the same, but i heard you can just replace the bushings. if anything get new hinges and your door will open and close like a new car.

I have the same problem with my Max. Just bought the new hinges but haven't got them on yet. Dealer said that there is not a bushing kit. The hinges cost about $25 each for the front drivers door.

I put a washer in behind one of the lower door hinge bolts on a VW. The hinge on the vehicle side, not on the door itself. It pushed up the door back into its regular position. I drove it for a couple more years like that and never had a problem. Worth a shot for the 25 cents it might cost you.
