Don't you think the Maxima should be in the Gran Turismo series...?

Well... I don't know if any of you are big Gran Turismo/GT2 (for Playstation) fans, but I am. In my opinion the Maxima would have been a great addition to the game. But, what really bugs me is the fact that they put the following cars in the game:

- Dodge Intrepid
- Ford Taurus
- Mercury Cougar
- Honda Accord

Not only is the Maxima superior to all of these cars in nearly every aspect, it's also a helluva lot quicker, and since it's a racing game that's what counts! I just thought it would be cool modding a Maxima up to like 500hp, they going and beating the **** out of some Type-R's in Laguna Leca. But maybe that's just me.....?

It's a little too late to be angry now, that was 3 years ago. BTW, GT3 doesn't have it either, but it has an Acura CL-S.

No ****, I feel the same way about that, the came has all of our competition, but not us, Why? I would love to have a maxima all built up on that came with a full race kit on it. I love the game but I would love it more if it had a Maxima in it, at least put it in the game if they are going to put a damn intrepid in it.

This has been ****ing me off for years too. So what I did was buy a Accord and made it weigh the same ammount as my I30, same gear ratios, and Hp. It's still not as nice as a real max/I30 but it's fun.

There's a reason for it >>

The Cefiro/Maxima has never been used in any form of racing, not even in Japan. THe premier touring sedan in Europe and Japan is the Primera/G20. The Maxima is too large of a car. This is the same reason why Toyota races the Tom's Levin instead of the Camry, why the J-spec Accord is smaller than the US-spec and why Volvo went from the S70 to the S40.

And the closest was the Opel Vectra.

Out of all the cars I modified on GT2, I most impressed with the old G20 that I bought to acrue some cash. I can beat all of the V8 cars an and the car handles like its on rails. I think if they had a Max it would be nice.
My favorite race car is the Daisin Sylvia. Needs a few more horses and it would be unstoppable, even for the Vipers.

The best car in the game hands down is the TVR Limited Edition Cerbera, that thing is very quick and handels incredibaly. There are cares that are faster then it but they are not as much fun to drive.

In the first GT my favorite car was the Cerbera too but right behind it was the FTO Limeted Edition.

July 11th seems to be the release date for GT3!! I can't wait!

Does anybody know if GT3 will have more cars than GT2? A friend told me it will have fewer cars. I rather have the same amount like GT2 than have less cars.

Somebody here is on top of this game huh?

I can't understand why they would still choose some of the slower cars when testing when there are plenty of other cars they people would love to try out in this game. Honestly, beside winning the class of race you are entering, who here has taken the time to mod the 50HP econo cars?

I modded a Mini-Cooper and it had a little something to give.

One car theat is hard to beat with soft tires is the Ford GT40. The car is a beast at high speed acceleration.

Yes the ford gt40 is a good handeling car.But I dont think there is a car on that game that can beat me in my Suzuki Escudo...I bought it for 2 million and man it does the 1/4 mile in high 8's the fastest and best handling car on the game without a doubt.

Race against the GT40 with a good driver. The car can beat most of the cars on GT2. It has that high end power. I just checked my times for the last time I machine tested a car. The Zexel Skyline did the 1/4 in 9.9 and that is faster than the Toyota GT1 at 10.1.

I forgot about that car from getting the license on the rally part. That car has 981 HP, no wonder.

I think toyoko exteme racer 2 in dreamcast or toyoko exteme racer xx(something) in PS2 has a cefiro in it. That game is pretty fun racing on the highway and awsome graphics
