I'm about to buy a Thule from another Maxima owner for $175. I was wondering what do think I can load onto it. I have two 6'5" surfboards and I'm hoping a kayak can fit on it. I've been eyeing this 13', 65 lb tandem kayak. I live 3/8 miles from the beach/harbor, so will the $175 be worth the convience?

I have a Yakima rack on another car. Roof racks are so modular (all brands) that with the modules you can attach to them (I've got ones for bikes, luggage, boards) they're worth their weight in gold.
