Need Some EBAY Advice

I am currently trying to sell my maxima on Ebay. Only problem is that the car was stolen from the previous owner so when it was recovered it was given a brand new clean title since nothing had been damaged on it. Anyway, the new VIN is only 5 digits long and ebay requires a 17 digit VIN be submitted. Anyone else have this problem?

You could try and contact a dealer about it, maybe somehow someway you could find the original vin#. If the dealer can't help you will have to contact the place that issued the second title to begin with they should have some record of what's going on.

Another thing is maybe just the last 5 numbers of the vin changed and the first 12 are still the same, try that. The original vins should still be on the vehicle.

Have you checked all the possible vin locations? If you cannot determine the VIN you can sell the car without the VIN just dont list through the normal car listings. Another possible alternative is posting in the Maximas For Sale/ Wanted section.

All of the vins have been taken off except the plate in the engine bay, but using that would technically be using a false VIN since it has been changed. I also had posted in for sale section but I had gotten a bunch of people low balling who weren't serious.
