How do technical service bulletins work?

I'm having this rear suspension rattle and harsh transmission 1-2 upshift problems in my 02 I35. I found TSBs for these problems on www.infinitihelp.com and already made an appointment with my dealer and mentioning the TSBs. But this will be the first time I'm taking a car in for warranty related stuff, and was wondering if there any hidden fees I should be aware of? If they disagnose the problem to be what the TSBs apply to, then it is free under warranty right? Thanks for the help.

TSB's are only guidelines for the techs to help them diagnose known problems. They do not automatically imply warranty coverage. However, if you are still within your 3/36 or have a Nissan extended warranty, then you should be covered. I had my Bose fixed (common TSB) and it was covered because I was within my Nissan extended warranty. If not, I would've probably had to pay out of my pocket because I was out of my 3/36 warranty that automatically comes with the car.
