Yesterday I noticed my speedo doing something odd. When I am on the gas, it works properly, but when I back off the gas it immediately drops. At 30mph it drops to 20; at 40 it drops to 25, at 50 it drops to 30; at 60 it drops to 35. If I put the car in neutral, it drops a little, but it drops the most when in gear and I lift the throttle. The car is NOT slowing down like that; my relative distance to other cars doesn't change. Anyone have any idea to fix this?

Might want to post this on the 4th Gen page...
BTW: What class did you win (scca)? Are you still racing in the Bay Area?

SCCA

I was racing rookie 4 class as Street Mod (tires, ECU, y-pipe). I took 2 firsts during the season and wound up second place for the year. I actually ran some fast times that got PAXed back, once all the way from fastest in class to 6th in rank. That's why I drove Barry Chafin's car for the last part of the season, to get a better PAX.

I met Barry at the last autox in Stockton. I rode with him on one of his runs. Real nice guy. Also met Mike (I forget his last name), another nice guy. He also has a 95-96. I don't get out much, about 3 times so far, but I'm headin' out this weekend (CPSCC). I normally race Street Mod, but for now I think I can get away with Street Touring S, until the 300zx brakes go on...
