Throw me in the Optima Red Top Mix, IMO a far superior power cell...

Do your homework / websearch and make up your own mind...

Your car is a 2k4, worst case scenario is it was mfg. in 7/93. If the factory failed already, I'd say replace it under the 3/36, why buy a Red Top already?

Because like tires, exhaust, intakes and everything else that people mod, I like trying to improve on the things I can, the Red Top is a superior battery over OEM and I like knowing that I have one...

The best thing to do is clean/scrape the terminals and treat with a dielectric spray such as "CRC Heavy Duty Corrosion Inhibitor". Buy a 10oz can (CRC p/n 06026, upc 78254 06026) for ~$6 at your local boatyard/marine supply store. Electrical connections on boats are a perpetual maintenance nightmare without some `treatment'. It can be `greasy' so do a test spray to see where it points. Another alternative is probably available at your local auto parts store. It has a `perfume' smell and sprays out a translucent pink color. Just ask for "Dielectric Spray". I have not seen it at Wal-Mart. It is used in outdoor electrical connections on signs, pump motors, etc. Very necessary here in Florida.
