Check the install manuals for the HID kit. There should be a wire thats in a loop that may need to be cut. Not sure if it applies to 5th Gen, but some kits it applies to 4th Gen.

its a McCulloch kit, and theres two wires (white/black) from the ballast that you fit into a 3 prong plastic connector that goes to the bulb back itself.
those are the only wires that needed connecting..
hm
thanks not really sure what it could be. we'll brainstorm a little more

Thats normal for a single beam plug n play HID kit from what I understand. There might be a way to turn the light off but I am not sure how.

It's not normal, you have a wire cut in wrong, most likely the ground. Go back over the install. On both left and right headlight plugs, the black wire is ground and power should come from the middle wire. Both left and right sides tap into wires in the exact same positions on the plug.

with my friends H4 for his Si, we had to actually switch the prongs (the plugs that are color coordinated) so that it doesn't match. for example, if it is suppose blue with blue, and red with red, it would actually go blue with red. try that, because sometimes the factory does it wrong. after that his system worked. give it a shot and let us know.

I think the trade-off for being annoyed by the highbeam indicator light offsets how annoying the HID's are to oncoming traffic with the 00/01 housing.

My roomate had a single beam H4 plug n play kit on his 00 maxima and encountered the same issue with the high beam indicator on and I know other people who have had the same thing happen with other single beam kits. I had a high/low plug n play kit on my 00 maxima for a bit and my indicator wasn't on... I thought it was normal for a single beam plug n play kit...sorry
