quick question?
quick question?
i have a friend whose car won't start, when she turns the key all she gets is a clicking noise. i can't remember if this is the starter or the alternater. i want to say starter. just figured id ask you guru here. tried to post in the off topic forum but was denied so don't rag.
no i tested it this afternoon for her and the battery was fine. with the car off i was reading 11+ volts with the car on i was raeding 13+ volts so wouldnt that rule out the alternater as well. also the car started right up when i got there. go figure

For me it was the starter.. I thought it was the battery too as I had happned to leave my lights on.. tested voltage and was fine ... just clicked when you turned the key.. replaced starter and she fired right up, MINT!
I'm not allowed to start a new thread - So I thought I'd try piggy backing on this one...
I have two questions about my '97 Bose Stereo:
1-When I turn the volume ****, the volume rarely changes unless I twist it at some crazy angle. This is becoming less and less effective. Is there anyway to fix this?
2-I have a CD changer installed in the trunk, but have never used it. Can I use this input to hook up a iPod? Are there any other places to hook up a line-in?
Thanks
-Paul

Why don't you at least piggyback on to a thread in the AUDIO forum

here, learn a lesson.... now you can't even post to piggyback. READ first then post. find the AUDIO section, you'll probably find your answer before you can post again.
