So I have a 1991 Maxima SE 5-speed with 160K on it. Im bored of it, and need a change. So, long story short, i took some pics of it and took it for a test drive.. 1 word: WHOA! 435 RWHP is a lot more than i though. moving on... On my way home (in the maxima) i really got the need for speed. I figured since i had the camera on me still, ide attempt to drive, shift and film at the same time. Which needless to say gets VERY hard when u have to turn...

Well heres a little clip of me getting on the gas a little in my 91 max. Tell me whatcha guys think. Some poeple that ride in it say its a factory freak. I even had one kid accuse me of having a SC under the hood... lol. Its 100% stock. No intake, no special exhaust. no nothing. Even has dirty oil/air fileters... HAHA

Doesn't quite measure up to that SS does it? Sounds good anyways.

 

heh. That SS will blow most Z06's out the water. his best time was 11.2 on the 1/4miles with DR's. And he got kicked off the track and they wouldnt give him his time slip b/c he didnt have a cage.. ahahahah

now with that said, i could give my maxima a 15 car lead, and the SS would still kill it in the 1/8 and 1/4mile. But what do i do when it snows??? WHO CARES!

 

are you sure ? maybe you are not flooring the gas pedal all the way ?

 

What kind of mods does he have?

edit: And yeah I agree your car does have a supercharger kind of whine when you floor it.

Ill be removing the moser 12 and 4.56 gears. Getting a Moser 9" with 4.11's. Also taking off the FAST MAF and putting the LS6 back on. Also getting smaller long tube headers for it. Also having the airbags put back in, adding a cat and ehaust. CANT WAIT!!!

BTW, there is no supercharger.. lol....

 

So i went back to look at the car in daylight. looks good :judge: . Figured i would test drive it... I took the cam with me yet again. The vid. is pretty bland, nothing special. Car has 4.56 gears, and im not used to it... u have to shift A LOT!! I was having some fun with that.. Best part was the break line was broken by the tow truck guy so the breaks went streight to the floor :bang: . I've included a nice shot of the leak after i test drove it. Guy was smart and didnt come with me for the ride..... :jest:

The drive home in the maxima was the most boring drive EVER!!! hahaha, after driving that, the maxima was crap!

Car was towed to his shop (bad front right control arm i think). he used a flatbed, so they hook the pully up to the car.. Moron (tow truck driver) ripped the break line when hooking the car up... and obveously the guy was a rookie...

didnt find out until he drove it home... got it home, filled it up with break fluid. Told me what was wrong, and i didnt care.... enough said.

 

I guess I missed the part of the control arm problem and it being towed. Oh and I think you meant he ripped the brake line?
